Cell Testing Unit - CTU

Our CTU is designed to automatically equalize the cell voltage by (dis)charging to the same potential and measuring its internal resistance by DCIR/ACIR. The machine is adaptable to all cell formats and allows the correct measurement of the IR resistance of the battery cells.

Cell Testing Unit - CTU - Digatron Systems

The Digatron Systems CTU is an automatic cell testing unit, designed to tests battery cells before sorting into different cell categories.

The cells are manually or automatically loaded into specifically designed trays for cell testing, then the operator initiates the automatic cycle. The tray is moved to the OCV testing position, where the cells are automatically contacted and the open circuit voltage is measured.

The cells are then (dis)charged to the same voltage. Subsequently, the tray is moved to the next testing position, where the ACIR/DCIR is measured.

Depending on customer requirements, the system can be configured to integrate EIS measurement and to combine different testing protocols.
